HOLI (3).png

Glassey is throwing Holi Fest to celebrate the Indian Festival of Colors in DC!! CLICK TO BUY TICKETS

Holi, also known as the festival of colors, has its roots in ancient India. Krishna, the Sanskrit name for God, loved to have fun with his friends and family. He plays Holi, throwing colored powders, laughing through his mischievous ways. This festival is a chance for us to do the same, have a day full of laughter and lightheartedness. We are hosting it to create a space for families and friends to reconnect in playfully fun and memorable ways.

So it's time to get messy with colors! You'll find when you do that a sense of freedom and happiness is present. Colors remind us that how we look on the outside doesn't matter at all - we are all equal in our shared humanity and citizenship of the world. We all belong and should be honored with love and respect.

COMMUNITY PAINT & SIP

Let's come together to make something beautiful! 🎨🤝 We're creating a community mural on our walls and we want YOU to be a part of it. Bring your creativity and join us for a chance to paint a piece of art on our walls while enjoying a refreshing drink! 🍹❤️ If you have any spare wall paint, acrylic paint, brushes, or other paint supplies lying around, we'd be grateful for any donations. Let's make this project a success! 🙌 #CommunityMural #PaintTheTown #ArtSuppliesNeeded

Our Story

"Glassey" is a term commonly used in Punjab, India to describe a boozy fun-filled time. Growing up as a First-Generation Indian American, I heard this term used quite a lot by my parents. Inspired by the fusion Indian-American dishes my mother created growing up, the never-ending parties of my childhood, & India's infamous street food. Glassey invites you to stop by & taste an exciting trip through the streets of India

Meet Our Chef!

Anju Gill

Anju Gill was born and raised in Punjab, India, and had a passion for cooking from a young age. Glassey's fusion dishes were devised right at home while trying to find creative ways to get Taj & her siblings to eat traditional Indian food when they were growing up. She prides herself on only using the freshest ingredients in all our dishes & ensures there's a little piece of motherly love in each bite!

Our Inspiration <3

Jiya!

One of our most popular dishes "Jiya's Tiffin" is named after the Glassey family's very own lil Boss, Jiya! You'll be sure to see her around Glassey "managing" & "running the show" ;)
